The slides all pull nicely, and the "feather touch" valves work very well. Feather Touch valves were a design patented by York's owner/inventor, etc. Alfred (Bill) Johnson in 1933. The main difference from regular valves is that the springs are on top of the valves and pull them up, rather than pushing them up from the bottom.
