Sarah Whitworth was a British designer who produced a range of extremely sexy, gothic, vamp dresses in ruched, boned, and laced silk satins and velvets during the 1980s 100% Silk Handwoven Made in England Her trademark dress was an hourglass, taffeta trim, corset dress. Her shop was called ‘Deadlier than the Male’. There was also a shop in Richmond called Hourglass, which was opened a year or so before Deadlier was closed . This was all around 1990.
