UCHIKAKE is an ornate wedding coat with a long trail, which a Japanese bride wears during the wedding ceremony. Now, it is only used for wedding ceremonies. An Uchikake is usually painted, heavily brocaded or embroidered with the motifs of celebration and wishes for the couples future.
