These rubber galoshes or booties were worn by my grandfather. He was born in 1897. The shoes measure 6" long, so he must have worn them when he was of preschool age in Chicago. The sole is stamped "New Jersey Rubber Shoe Co," and "Mfg'd by US Rubber Co." The rubber is pliable in places; some areas are brittle. They are definitely not wearable.
