This rare vintage tweed coat from the 1950s by B. Altman (New York) from their Murray Hill Collection. The brown tweed material and tailored look give it a sophisticated and timeless appeal. The inner label from the Amalgamated Garment Makers of America dates the coat’s manufacturer from between 1949 and 1962. The coat measures 27 inches collar to hem and 22 inches armpit to armpit. The coat is in very good condition, with the only flaw being a hole in the lining of the right hand front pocket.
