The boots have scuffs on the leather but the stitching is intact and strong...every stitch including the pull on loops. The heels and soles are also in good condition. I did not polish them because some people prefer the distressed leather. The brand label was on the footbed but is too worn to read but made in USA is still visible. In doing some resurch I think they may be Hanover boots because of the longer pull straps and the size etc labeling that is printed on the pull straps. Feel free to ask questions. Thanks
