Nice tight feel to this chunky German classic 35mm viewfinder camera, designed specifically to be easy to use. Clean throughout, this original model with uncoupled selenium light meter (remarkably bright 60+ years on). Manufactured in 1959 or 1960, it was affectionately known as the ‘idiotica’ for the ease of use of the meter for setting exposures. Completely mechanical functions, everything feels and looks tight and clean, definitely worth throwing a canister of film through to check the veracity of claims regarding the 50mm:2.8 Carl Zeiss Tessar lens’ near legendary sharpness! Overall this is a properly chunky classic capable of decent results. Which also happens to look properly cool!
