All hand stitched. 3 pockets on the front, 2 across the top of the buttons and one diagonally up by the arm hole. 4 matching silk covered buttons. Belonged to Oliver Cosine, 1814-1876 and was probably his wedding vest from around 1839 though we don't have an exact date for the wedding (to Ann Marie Sinclair (1817-1888). ).
